Privacy Notice

ACCTION does not ask who you are. There is no account, no sign-up and no email list. This notice says exactly what is recorded, what is not, and who else handles data when you use acctionboard.com.

What we record

Each time you run an evaluation, we save an anonymous record so we can check and improve the tool:

• The deal numbers you entered and the choices you made, such as the type of business, who runs it after the sale, whether customers depend on the owner and whether a seller note is paid during the loan or on standby. Only numbers and the listed choices are kept; anything else typed is dropped
• Whether you chose buyer or seller
• The results, recalculated on our server
• The version of the calculation that produced them, and the time
• Whether the numbers came from a pasted listing

When you tap "Start a data room," we record that tap and your buyer or seller choice, so we know how much interest there is.

When you paste a listing or add a screenshot, we record whether it was text or a screenshot and which items (such as asking price, sales, cash flow or real estate) were found. We do not keep the listing itself.

What we never record

Your name, contact details, location, the cash you say you have, the text or images of any listing, or your IP address.

Limiting misuse

To stop automated abuse, our server turns each visitor's connection into a scrambled code that changes every day and cannot be turned back into an IP address. That code is used only for this limit, deleted after two days, and never stored with evaluation records.

Who else handles data

• Vercel hosts the site. Like any web host, it receives your IP address to deliver pages, under its own terms. Vercel also counts visits for us without cookies and without storing IP addresses; we see only totals, such as pages viewed, the site you came from, device type and approximate country or region.
• Supabase stores the anonymous records described above.
• Anthropic receives a pasted listing (text or screenshot) only to read its numbers, under Anthropic's commercial terms.
• Google Fonts supplies the typefaces; your browser requests them from Google, which receives your IP address.

We do not sell or share personal information, and we show no advertising.

On your device

Your current deal is kept in your own browser so it is there when you come back. Tap New to clear it. Deals you save with the heart, and any names you give them, stay in this browser on this device. They are never sent to ACCTION, and clearing your browser data removes them. If you copy a link to your results, the link carries the deal's numbers, so anyone you send it to can see them. It never includes your cash.

Your choices

Because records are anonymous and not linked to you, we cannot look up or delete a specific person's evaluation. To stop ACCTION recording your evaluations on this device, open acctionboard.com/?nocapture=1. Questions: privacy@acctionboard.com.

Children

ACCTION is for adults. It is not meant for anyone under 18.

Changes

We will update this notice when what we record changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
